Terms
The rules for using Squigglestick and ordering printed stickers, in plain English. Part 1 covers making stickers on screen. Part 2 covers buying printed ones, which are coming soon.
The short version
- Making stickers on screen is free, within a daily limit.
- Your drawing stays yours. We use it only to make your sticker.
- Please only upload drawings you have the right to use, and nothing harmful.
- AI results vary, so check your sticker before you order.
- Printed stickers are made just for you, so they can’t be returned because you’ve changed your mind. If anything’s wrong with them, we’ll put it right.
About these terms
These terms are between you and Squigglestick (“we”, “us”), a small UK business. Squigglestick is in a friends-and-family test. By using the site, you agree to these terms. Please read our privacy notice too: it explains how we look after your information.
If you’re a consumer, nothing in these terms affects your legal rights.
Part 1 · Using Squigglestick
1. Who can use it
Squigglestick is for families. Children can use it with the permission of a parent or guardian, who is responsible for how they use it. You must be 18 or over to order printed stickers.
2. The free service
- Making stickers on screen and downloading them is free. There’s a daily limit on free goes, which we may change. Goes that fail are given back.
- We work hard to keep the site running, but we can’t promise it will always be available or free of errors. We may change, pause or stop the free service. If we stop it, we’ll try to say so in advance.
- Please download any stickers you want to keep. We may delete them later, as our privacy notice explains.
3. Your drawings
- Your drawing, and any rights in it, stay yours (or your child’s).
- To run the service, you allow us to store and copy your drawing, check it, send it to the companies that help us make your sticker, show you the result and, if you order, print it. This permission ends when the drawing is deleted.
- We won’t use your drawings in advertising, put them on show, or use them to train AI, unless you’ve clearly given us permission for that particular use.
- By uploading a drawing, you confirm that it’s yours or your child’s, or that you have permission to use it.
4. What you mustn’t do
Please don’t:
- upload anything illegal, sexual, violent, hateful or harmful, or anything showing someone else’s private details
- upload other people’s artwork, photos or characters without their permission
- try to get around the daily limits, the safety checks or our security
- use bots, scripts or other automated tools on the site, or copy the site or its results in bulk
- use the site to harm, harass or deceive anyone
We may turn away pictures, delete them, or stop someone using the site if they break these rules.
5. AI-made results
- Stickers are made automatically by AI from your drawing. Each go comes out a little differently, and results won’t always be perfect: they may miss or add small details, or change a letter.
- We don’t claim any rights in the sticker made from your drawing. You may use it however you like, but it’s up to you to make sure that doesn’t break anyone else’s rights, for example if the drawing shows a famous character.
6. Our website
The site’s design, our name and logo, our text and our example pictures belong to us. Please don’t copy them without asking.
Part 2 · Ordering printed stickers
Printed stickers are coming soon. This part applies once they’re on sale.
7. Your order
- Please check your sticker carefully before you order: we print the picture you see. Printed colours can look slightly different from a screen.
- Placing an order is an offer to buy. Our contract with you starts when your payment goes through and your order page shows the order as received.
- If we can’t accept your order (for example, because the picture shows a famous character), we’ll tell you, and you won’t pay, or we’ll refund you in full.
8. Prices and payment
- Prices are in pounds sterling. We’re not VAT registered, so there’s no VAT to add. The price of each sticker and the postage are shown in your basket before you pay.
- You pay by card on Stripe’s secure payment page. We never see your card number.
- If we’ve made an obvious mistake with a price, we’ll contact you before going ahead.
9. Printing and delivery
- Your stickers are made to order and printed by our printing partner in the UK.
- We deliver to UK addresses only. You can order up to 20 designs at once, and up to 20 copies of each; they come in one envelope.
- Delivery times on our site are estimates. Standard post usually arrives within 3 to 6 working days of ordering, and tracked delivery within 2 to 4.
- If your order hasn’t arrived within 10 working days of ordering, tell us. We’ll look into it, and reprint or refund your order if it’s lost.
- If a problem on our side stops your order reaching our printer, we refund you in full automatically.
- Your stickers are our responsibility until they’re delivered to you.
10. Cancelling
The usual 14-day right to cancel online orders doesn’t apply, because each sticker is made from your own drawing (the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 don’t give a right to cancel personalised goods).
If you’ve made a mistake, email us as soon as you can. If we can still stop your order before it’s printed, we’ll cancel it and refund you in full.
11. If something’s wrong
- If a sticker arrives damaged, faulty or misprinted, or isn’t what you ordered, email us within 30 days with a photo. We’ll reprint it or give you a full refund, whichever you prefer.
- You also have legal rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015: goods must be as described, of satisfactory quality and fit for purpose. For free advice about your rights, contact Citizens Advice.
- Something that was already in the preview you approved, such as a detail the AI added, isn’t a fault. If you’re unhappy, talk to us anyway.
12. Product safety
Stickers are small and can be a choking hazard, so keep them away from children under 3. They aren’t made for skin or food. Stick them on clean, dry, smooth surfaces.
General
13. Our responsibility to you
- If we break these terms or don’t use reasonable care and skill, we’re responsible for loss or damage you suffer that was a foreseeable result. Loss is foreseeable if it was obvious it would happen, or if we both knew it might happen when you placed your order.
- We provide the site and our stickers for private, household use. We aren’t responsible for business losses, such as lost profit.
- Nothing in these terms limits our responsibility for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law doesn’t let us limit, including your rights as a consumer.
14. Complaints
If you’re unhappy, email us at support@squigglestick.co.uk. We’ll usually reply within 2 working days and aim to sort things out within 14 days. If we can’t agree, Citizens Advice (0808 223 1133) can give you free, independent advice.
15. Changes and the law that applies
We may update these terms, for example when we open orders or the law changes. The version on the site when you place an order applies to that order.
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. You can bring a claim in the courts of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can bring a claim in your local courts instead.
